Adventurer Abudi Alsagoff poses as a human flag at the top of Marina 101 in
Dubai.
(Photo: Abudi Alsagoff /Facebook)Remember planking? The exercise-inspired
photo craze that went viral a few years ago? Well, this new trend makes it
look like child’s play.
The human flag is a move in gymnastics where the athlete holds a
vertical pole while positioning their body parallel to the ground.
Photos with this pose have been popping up all over social media, and now one
daredevil has taken things to new heights by completing a human flag on one of
the tallest buildings in the world.
Abudi Alsagoff  recently "flagged" at the top of the Marina 101 in
Dubai.
The 24-year-old parkour athlete climbed 101 floors on July 18 to complete
this death-defying feat from nearly 1,394 feet in the air.

World’s Highest Buildings Alsagoff also completed this handstand at
100 floors up! Yikes! (Photo: abudialsagoff/Instagram)Alsagoff, who is
originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has never attempted the human flag
from such an enormous height.
He admits that while it looked impressive, getting there wasn’t easy.
"It took about an hour taking the stairs and the challenge during the
climb was that there was no air ventilation because the building is still
incomplete," he told the Daily Mail.
"The dust and sand in the air make breathing even worse, and there were no
lights, it was completely dark so we had to use our phone’s LED light.
But overall it was a good experience and the view was well worth it!"The walk
up was so treacherous because Marina 101 is still under construction.
When it’s complete, Marina 101 will be the 2nd tallest building in
Dubai.
For risking his life, Alsagoff was rewarded with a stunning view of
Dubai, and remarkable photos to share on social media.
And thanks to his photos, the rest of us get to enjoy the view while
keeping our feet on the ground.
