It should come as no
surprise that Pinterest serves the perfect inspiration board for travelers
planning a vacation. There are boards upon boards of destination inspiration,
not to mention wanderlust quotes that are forever immortalized in cute,
graphic form. The platform caters to one specific demographic in particular:
women in the United States who are planning solo vacations.  According to
data from Pinterest, women in that category between the ages of 18- and
34-years-old are pinning 350 percent more about solo travel than they did
last year. A quick dig into this fact pulls a few highlights we can all
benefit from. Of all of the destinations that were included in these pins,
the most popular ones were Spain, Italy, Scotland, Hawaii, and
Chile—Spain and Chile were also top destination contenders for men using the
platform, as well. A few other most-pinned topics include secret stash
luggage, finding cheap airfare, packing hacks, and travel safety tips.
